A start up company with a vision to personalise business travel to be inclusive and tailored to individuals specific needs

From design brief to hi-fidelity prototype and testing sessions held within 4 months (14 Hour Working Weeks)
Background
Bizumi wanted to create a business travel app that mixed business with leisure. Using user's inputs to understand their likes and preferences and any personal issues that could affect certain activities. The app allows a quick sign up process gathering this information so the user can be recommended leisure activities whilst on work trips.
PROCESS
This category details the step-by-step approach taken during the project, including research, planning, design, development, testing, and optimization phases.
Research & Planning
Conducted market research to identify competitor's' strengths and weaknesses. Created User Personas and respective Journey Maps to understand user behaviours to design an effective solution
Design & Prototyping
As the lead designer, wireframes were established based off User Journey Maps & Workflows. Brand Identity styles were used to turn wireframes into a hi-fidelity prototype.
Development & Implementation
Development outsourced.
Testing & Optimization
Conducted both moderated & unmoderated rounds of testing. Purposefully tailoring questions to gather insights on UX flow, UI aesthetics & speed of onboarding. Test results were used as part of an iterative design process.
SOLUTION
Designed a multi-functional tool that uses onboarding information to offer tailored experiences whilst also ensuring business events are distinguishable.
Intelligent Scheduling
A scheduler that shows both business and leisure itineraries with the ability to book events during free time.
Personalisation
Using user's data and preferences to offer the most relevant/tailored experiences.
Tour Guide
Using current or upcoming user trip data to provide location specific information with goal to educate, engage and intrigue.
RESULT
Produced a hi-fidelity, tested prototype that led to the start-up company receiving over £40,000 in funding within the first 6 months of operations.
